what do you get: Accommodation, all meals, board hire, surf instruction, beach games, party nights. How delightful! Oh how great are the times in France? My oh my. They are so good the locals often go pants-free. That's how good they are. And we can go pants-free too! Oh the wonder... What are we talking about? The beaches of Les Landes in France, between Bordeaux and the Spanish border. 200kms of golden wonder. Where dreams that you never even knew you had come true. Where the pine forest meets the sea, separated by a hallowed strip of yellow joy, inhabited by the finest examples of humanity the Great Creator ever blew breath into... Let's talk surf camp. This place is a dream. We sleep so close to the beach that the breakers sing your lullabies. We sleep in the forest so the birds act as an alarm clock. The campsites in this part of the world are like little villages, villages devoted entirely to our pleasure. With swimming pools and discos on site, shops and restaurants and more babes than you can poke a trembling, aroused, finger at. This isn't the standard Surf Camp deal, the standard deal being pretty wonderful, this being even better. Twin share accommodation, breakfast every morning, waves on your tent-door step. Great friends for life, photographers and videographers catching your every move (that you want them to catch) party nights to other towns and even other countries... A once in a lifetime experience... Because that's the beauty of Stoke Travel, you only pay for what you want to do! The basic price includes twin share camping accommodation and breakfast. Then you can add things on, the meals package (a big lunch and dinner, cooked by our onsite professional chef), surfboard hire, surf lessons. Or, like most people, realise you're going to want to eat every day, surf every day and could probably do with some pointers every day and take the all-inclusive. At only 50€ it's far cheaper than doing it all separately. They start with our 5€ all-you-can-drink beer, wine and sangria deal. Don't worry about what you're going to drink after your surf - we've got that covered. Then we can either party in the camp, in the bars around town or charter a bus to head to the party centres of Biarritz, or a little further south to San Sebastian Spain. Or perhaps your visit will coincide with one of the many wonderful street festivals that pepper this region. The good times await my friends, the good times await... The 10 000 square kilometre man made forest that lies between Bordeaux and Spain, on the Atlantic Coast. An ambitious project undertaken by Napoleon to prevent the sea and sand from encroaching on his territory, today Les Landes is a fully fledged forest eco system. Dotted throughout this forest are villages and beach resorts and the Stoke Travel French Surf Camp is located in one of the latter. Our campsite is near the beach, so close the pounding waves will crash you to sleep each night, and don't worry if you're not the loony crocodile wrestling, yak faeces eating survivalist type, this is deep in civilisation. The camps have bars and pools and shops and lots of sexy french people. Oooh yeah. You want to fly to either Bordeaux or Biarritz. Ryainair, Easyjet and Air France, amongst others, fly to both airports. From there you take the train. See below. You want to ride the rails from Biarritz or Bordeuax to DAX (from Biarritz north and Bordeaux south). The journey takes a little over an hour from Bordeaux and under an hour from Biarritz. From Dax you're on the bus. See below. Once you get to Dax there is a regular local bus linking the train station to the Surf Camp. Jump on it fool. Also, there is a local bus that runs from Bayonne, next to Biarritz to Dax, if for some reason you hate trains. Link your surf trip and take advantage of our shuttle buses linking France and Spain. It's the greatest way to travel, surf and see two countries for (almost) the price of one... More than just surfing...
