In San Sebastian, where the surf camp is, they speak a different language (Basque) and don't do Spanish traditions at all. And where our offices are, in Barcelona, they speak Catalan and often have rallies promoting independence from Spain. When we first arrived we didn't know anything about all of this, we just thought we were heading to Spain. Y'know, with bull fighters and paella and sangria and olé and all that flamenco tapping, salsa dancing gear. So it's nice, from time to time, to head back to the real, authentic, stereotype confirming Spain. And Santander is just that. And more! Like great waves, and beautiful beaches and babes everywhere wearing speedos and topless femme babes and great food and oh my oh my what a nightlife... The house down here is located near the beach and across the bay from the city, it's close enough to get in and party when you want, but far enough away for you to get a good night's sleep. And the waves are grand! They're right near the house, not too crowded and great for all standards of surfer. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
