IT’S THE BIGGEST ANDORRA SKI WEEKENDER
Stoke’s iconic Andorra Ski Weekenders are levelling up. We’ve been carving up the slopes in the Pyrenees for a long while and now that we’ve covered every inch of powder on Pal Arinsal (and we mean every inch), we’re venturing into fresh territory, for one weekend and one weekend only – the expansive behemoth Grandvalira. If you’re into powder, this place has the kind that’ll keep you buzzing all weekend long.
We’ll be settling into El Pas de la Casa for the weekend, a spot renowned for having the best après ski parties in the Pyrenees. This spot will be the perfect match for us, as for the first time ever we bring the spectacle of our campsite festivals to the snow. While we’re swapping tents for hotel rooms, we’ll provide some classic Stoke debauchery and entertainment with a line up of international DJs, and a bounty of free booze to get the party started. We’ll start ya off with a goodie bag of treats to keep you warm on the slopes including your brand new “schnappy hour” flask for a little mountain fuel. And just to make sure everyone’s primed for the night, we’re throwing in a nightly power hour of unlimited free beer and wine—so pace yourself, or don’t.
Not only is it grand-er in name, but this new territory offers more opportunities to carve up the powder with an expansive web of runs and night-skiing slopes. With 4-star accommodation right at the base of the slopes, we’re surrounded by not only some of the best slopes in the Pyrenees, but the best après-ski haunts and nightlife for you to explore. If you tire of the slopes (you won’t), feel free to explore all this beautiful tax-free-haven resort town has to offer. You can load up your carry on with duty free goods, unwind in some luxurious spas – there’s truly something for everyone!
What It’s Like Skiing and Boarding in Grandvalira
Our home for the weekend is the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees, and one of the largest in Europe, with an elevation of 2640m, making this mountain is the highest point in Andorra. With 215kms of skiable area accessible with your single ski pass, there’s no shortage of exploration to be done with 140 slopes spread across 7 sectors. The expanse of runs is ideal for groups comprised of all levels, with 23 green runs, 55 blue, 43 red, and 19 black.
Beyond that, Grandvalira is also home to a number of freestyle parks with boxes, rails, and kickers for those that fancy themselves X Games hopefuls (or for the keen spectators tiring of watching people gunning down the mount). You can also hit the slopes under the stars in our home sector of Pas de la Casa, with a designated night-skiing spot, so you can head straight from the slopes to the après with us, not missing a single minute of valuable shredding time. View an interactive map of the expansive mountain here to see all it has to offer!
SKI TRIPS FOR STUDY ABROAD STUDENTS
During your short time abroad this semester, we know every weekend you have is valuable. That’s why we have packed everything we have (and more) into our Grand Andorra Après Ski Weekender. Cross off a new country from your Euro-travel list, revive yourself from your mid-semester slump with some fresh pow, and mingle with like-minded study abroad students at the après event of the season. Each year we cart busloads of study abroad students up to the Pyrenees, show them a good time and a decent hangover, and do it all again the next day (a coffee baileys and a face plant in the snow will fix ya right up). This weekend is no different – there’s just gonna be more free drinks, more slopes to explore, and more twisted stories to reminisce over for the rest of semester and beyond.
STAGS AND HENS HIT THE SNOW
Stag and hen do’s usually involve a bit of snow, don’t they? Well, Andorra has truckloads of powder that will make the tip of your nose numb, making it the perfect send-off into married life. You’ll have the opportunity to snap that pic of your crew on the top of a mountain with your bums out and you’ll be able to cross off an obscure (but must-see) country off your to-visit-list. Our big Andorra weekender will be the biggest party of our Andorra season, meaning we’re able to more-easily cater to larger groups and there will be a larger audience for all the cheeky traditions adopted by bachelors and bachelorettes alike. You won’t do a nudie run in the snow, you coward. Go on then. Prove us wrong.
SEE THE BEST OF BARCELONA TOO, WITH OUR BARCELONA STAY ADD-ON
You’re definitely not going to want to go home, and we’re definitely going to have a stacked line up of fuckery that we can introduce you to (Barcelona is our home, so we know what all the loose units are getting up to), so why rush back to reality when you can squeeze every last drop out of your trip with some extra time in the city that never sleep (but sometimes passes out)? Or, if we’re thinking responsibly (boo), booking our Barcelona stay package means that you won’t be rushing to meet us and rushing to leave us in order to make a poorly scheduled flight. Give yourself some breathing room (or some extra time to get to know one of the party capitals of the world) by staying in our partner hostel the Thursday night before we hit the road on Friday morning, and the Sunday night when we get back. You’ll be grateful that you have a bed to fall into when you’re battered from the slopes and coming down from the fun – trust us.
MEET US THERE
Travelling from outside of Barcelona, or can’t make the departure times? Then choose to meet us there. Everything apart from the return transport from Barcelona is included in the Meet Us There trip.

AN OFTEN OVERLOOKED PYRENEAN TREASURE.
Squeezed in between Spain and France high in the Pyrenees, Andorra is usually omitted from most travelers’ itineraries. Well it shouldn’t be! It’s so beautiful your eyes will weep snow flakes, and right next to Barcelona.
That’s right, Andorra is tax free, so drinking, smoking and pornography is cheaper here than in other European countries. Hooray!
We will be skiing and boarding in the glorious Grandvalira resort, based out of El Pas de la Casa sector – check out the stats…
