Stoke Trips To Morocco (January to May 2010)

Stoke does weekend trips to Morocco - visiting the city of Marrakech before hitting up the Stoke Surfari on the Atlantic coast.  Trips start either Thursday or Friday, and end either Sunday or Monday.  

  • Marrkakech is famous for its market and the Djemaa el Fna square, with its snake charmers, story-tellers, acrobats and dancers, before filling with dinner stalls at night converting it into a massive open-air restaurant.  
  • The Stoke Surf House is located on Morocco’s famed Surf coast in the middle of Taghazoute village. The quaint fishing village was made famous by Jimmy Hendrix’ residence and the subsequent hippy colonization.

 

Stoke has two options available in Morocco.  Our Marrakech-Surf House trips run on set dates OR for groups of 8 or more on dates that suit you.  We also have our Surf House open all year where you can come join us whenever you want - you simply have to make your own way there.

    ** Can´t join us on these dates?  Make your way to our Morocco Surf House  any time, and for as long as you want.  Alternatively get a group of 8 or more together and we will organise the complete Marrakech-Surf House trip.

    TRIP ITINERARY

    THURSDAY/ FRIDAY:**

    Arrive Morocco. A member of the Stoke crew will be at the airport to greet you and take you back to your centrally located guesthouse.  See the sights of the `Red City´ of Marrakech including the `Souq´ (Morocco´s largest market) and at night have a Moroccan feast in the bustling Djemaa el Fna square.  

    SATURDAY:

    Breakfast before heading to our Surf House in the coastal village of Taghazoute.  Lunch and then to the beach for a surf lesson. After a sunset surf enjoy a hearty dinner, then a beach party or a trip to the nearby party town of Agadir.

    SUNDAY

    Breakfast and then hit the waves.  Alternatively, visit a `Hammam´ (Moroccan baths). After lunch we head back to Marrakech. Flights usually depart Sunday evening, however some are Monday morning, in which case we  arrange for your accommodation on the Sunday night.


    ** Flights arrive either Thursday evening or Friday morning depending on your city of departure.

    * This price is based upon arrival either Thursday night or Friday morning and departing Sunday evening. For departures Monday morning there is a 20€ surcharge.

    GETTING TO MOROCCO

    There are a number of cheap flight companies flying to Marrakech for as little as 20€. Contact us and tell us which city you are departing from and we will let you know the cheapest flights.
