Our Portugal Surf Camp is in Santa Cruz – a 50 min drive away from Lisbon Airport (where we can grab ya from), and nestled right in some prime real estate between Ericera and Peniche, in close proximity to some elite surf spots for learners and pro-shredders. Whether you’re making your way down the coast, or making a one of trip/first stop on your trip out of Lisbon.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From Lisbon Airport, it’s easy enough to Marteleira. From there, we’re only a short Bolt ride away, or if pre-arranged we can collect you from there.
includes:
- Pod-style hostel dorm accommodation in the Stoke Portugal surf house, located in Santa Cruz (bedding included)
- Healthy homemade breakfast and dinner every day, plus an optional packed lunch, with all ingredients locally sourced or from our very own veggie garden (all dietary requirements catered for on request!)
- Introductory surf lesson, daily surfing with experienced surf guides along with board hire
- Daily yoga and stretching and yoga, before you hit the waves
- Bikes and surf skates for use (cash deposit required, limited amount)

Itinerary
This itinerary is meant to be just a guide, not a set in stone, to the minute, school itinerary. This is what your day may look like at the Stoke Surf House – depending on the waves, weather, your wants and needs. There’s always something for you to do, but it’s your holiday so feel free to lay on the beach, have a beer, or go on an adventure with your new surf mates instead.

Morning
Wake up to a homely, cooked breakfast down in our chill-out area and exchange stories from last night’s antics, read the surf report and get excited to head out into the waves. We’ll warm up with a yoga and stretch session in our garden, before we head to the beach. Grab your board and either scout out the best banks on the beach, or head into your lesson with one of our surf instructors. If you’re not doing a lesson, feel free to grab a bike and explore along the coast for some unreal swells!

Afternoon
When you’re all surfed out, dig into your packed lunch, or hunt out some Portuguese delicacies at some beachfront eateries. Or maybe it’s time to go for a dip in the pool and have a bevvie from our backyard bar. Maybe you want to head out hiking through the dunes., or grab a bike and a board and explore the other spots, or even head into Lisbon if ya like! In the afternoon you will most likely find yourself hanging out at the house watching the sun go down over a few drinks, sharing stories or becoming lord of the ping pong table.

Evening
If you’re the sensible type, you can get in a good night’s sleep and be up bright and early for sunrise yoga and stretching. If some more drinks, music and exploring sound more like you, we can kick on in our backyard with a BBQ and pool party, before exploring the happenings of Santa Cruz. If there’s enough of us wanting to kick on, we can go and explore the iconic nightlife of Lisbon too, or any local festivities that may be on during your stay!
