How Stoke Travel is changing Ibiza
Stoke Travel will be pitching their tents in the world’s premier party island, Ibiza, for the second year this June to September 2016. Stoke Travel will offer an affordable alternative to the pricey and often booked-out hotels on the most popular island of the Spanish Balearics. Their Ibiza Beach Camp provides inclusive camping accommodation at its beachside campsite in Es Canar, an area on the southeast coast of the island with beautiful bays, loads of restaurants, shops, many adventure activities and easy connections with the main town. Stoke Travel is the only camping option on the island that includes all the camping equipment so that guests need only bring their carry-ons.
Ibiza is notoriously expensive and yet undeniably attractive to travellers due to its major clubs and big name DJs. There has long been a problem with availability of accommodation on Ibiza island, especially during the summer months, when the population spikes from around 144K to 375K.. This means that prices soar as demand is high. Backpackers and those on a budget wanting to experience the hedonistic island have had no choice but to fork out loads of their travel cash for a place to lay their heads. Now finally there is a backpacker option that will suit the more moderate budget, the Stoke Travel Ibiza Beach Camp.
Stoke Travel started their Ibiza Beach Camp in 2015 in an attempt to offer a laid-back, inclusive, fun and inexpensive alternative to enable anyone to experience the delights of Ibiza. Camping has become a staple of music and cultural festivals around the world. Toby Paramor, CEO of Stoke, notes, “It’s no longer the preserve of the family – camping is now part and parcel of the experience of awesome times”. Glastonbury Festival in the UK see around 135,000 campers over five days eagerly grabbing their camping spots. The Stoke Travel camping option has already proved popular with hundreds of guests in 2015 opting to exchange a hotel bed for an inflatable mattress and a beachside breeze, to save money for club entries and party supplies. The competitive pricing also means that campers are able to stay longer and enjoy the natural side of the island.
