Springfest Set To Upstage Better Known Cousin
Stokepedia
In a power struggle as old as families themselves, Springfest has announced that it’s about time it gets the same recognition as its better-known cousin, Oktoberfest.
“It’s bullshit,” Springfest told Stoke Travel, “what does Oktoberfest have that I don’t have? Same shit — strong, delicious beer by the litre, piles of perfectly seasoned meat, firm-but-fair beer wenches performing feats of strength carrying kilos of beer, German oompah bands playing local and international hits, dancing on tables, making out with strangers…
“Seriously, the only reason Oktoberfest is more popular is because it’s full of tourists! And while we both love welcoming beer drinkers from all over the world, sometimes Oktoberfest just seems like it’s jammed full of amateurs, people who don’t know their way around a beer festival. It can just slow things down, you know? And some of them don’t know how powerful Bavarian beer is, and they can struggle after two-or-three litres.
“This year, with Stoke Travel’s help, I’m going to be bigger and better than ever. While Oktoberfest thinks that he’s so cool with millions of visitors, I find that my 10s of thousands is infinitely more manageable, and no less fun. As a matter of fact, the lines for the infamous carnival are shorter, meaning that people who come to see me can be thrown around, spun, flipped upside down, and generally have their insides churned, more often, for less money.
“Last year Stoke Travel came with hundreds of travellers and we both made sure that they all had the time of their lives. They’ve assured me that this year will be even bigger,
Oktoberfest was unavailable for comment, as it usually spends the other 11 months of the year spending it’s gazillions of euros in Thailand, and other sun-soaked destinations, before returning to Munich to put Springfest to shame, year in, year out.
Springfest runs in Munich, Germany, from the 18th April to the 7th May. Stoke Travel runs an all-inclusive camp with hot breakfasts and chef-prepared dinners, an unlimited campsite beer and sangria bar for an extra €10 a day, and hundreds of international new-best-friends for you to meet and party with.
Do a good deed and help this underdog achieve its goals by booking Springfest with Stoke Travel and joining the hundreds of travellers taking advantage of this lesser-known German beer festival. And if you can’t make it in spring, then we’ll be seeing you in October.
