Stoke’s Andorra Ski weekenders: where we do all the nice things and have all the good times we can in three days. Only a couple of hours from downtown Barcelona, the amount of fun jam-packed into one weekend will enrich your soul and soothe your travel-bug (but maybe damage your liver). We’ll be shredding and partying, maybe stacking it, definitely treating ourselves, and hanging out with fellow powder-loving ratbags.
We’ve worked hard to get the mix of snow sports and partying just right, splitting our time between the mountain and the après-ski* below, and we’ve found that the best formula is to have as much fun as is physically possible over the weekend and then pass out on the bus on the way home – content, a little sore, and with a small hangover. Keep reading for a little itinerary of what happens on these trips.
*For the uninitiated, après-ski, literally “after ski”, refers to drinking booze after – and sometimes during – a day on the slopes.
RIDE WITH US ski and snowboard trips from barcelona to andorra
Our Andorra Ski Weekenders proves that European alpine travel isn’t just for the elites with furs and trust funds – with our all-inclusive packages we’ll take you up the mountain for the weekend of your life… You’ll be heading home with new mates, new bruises, and a collection of stories to make your mates jealous (if the large number of flaming shotskis hasn’t blurred them out).
On Friday we’ll meet in downtown Barcelona and get to know our new best friends for the weekend (and beyond!), throw our luggage on the bus, then ride the two-or-so hours through Catalunya and the foothills of the Pyrenees into Andorra. Once we get to our hotel there’s time to check into our rooms and maybe even explore the village. We’ll break the bread and get to know each other over the flowing wine and conversation, then end the night in a bar where it’s known to get wild (see flaming shotski below). Or for those not feeling the bar, some of us can stay behind and play board games in our cozy hotel.
On Saturday we’re up and heading across the road to the gondola, where we will start to explore Pal-Arinsal. Ski hire is included, but snowboarders are welcome too with a tiny surcharge. If you’re a first timer, or a bit out of practice, now’s the time to grab a lesson, otherwise let’s hit the lifts and spend the day whizzing around the slopes. Lunch isn’t included, but at the end of the day we’ll all be meeting at our favourite bar at the bottom of the slopes for a little bit of après-ski fun, where the DJ will be playing bangers and we can ease out the kinks with some drinks.
Back in the hotel we’ll have the option to dine as a group, or grab something more intimate if that’s what you’re vibing. Generally, on Saturday night we find our way around our favourite Andorra bars and clubs because despite the sore muscles, this goldmine of a country has too much to offer to call it early.
We’re up bright and early again on Sunday for one last day of looking wonderful on the mountain before heading back to Barcelona. We’re going to be tired, we’re going to be sore, we might even be a bit hungover, but we will be relaxed, with a smile from ear to ear, and a whole bunch of new friends.
Add some time in Barcelona to your Andorra Ski trip
We take care of everything from Barcelona onwards for your Andorra ski trip, but the majority of our travellers have to get to Barcelona first! While this is an easy, cheap and frequent trip from anywhere in Europe, many of our guests choose to extend their stay by spending a night in Barcelona before and after their ski trip. This saves the stress of arriving late to Barcelona on the Friday of the trip, or similarly returning late on Sunday, plus you get a whole two extra days to party.
Our Andorra Ski Weekender Barcelona add-ons include:
- Everything that’s included in the Andorra Ski Weekender, plus:
- Thursday night and Sunday night hostel accommodation in central Barcelona
- A welcome calçotada (traditional Catalan wine-filled grilled feast with special spring onions) dinner
- A pub crawl on the Thursday night to get to know your fellow Ski Weekenders
- Club entry on the Sunday night when we return (if you’re up for it).
And all this for only €100 per person for the two extra nights.

Travelling from outside of Barcelona, or can’t make the departure times? Then choose to meet us there. Everything apart from the return transport from Barcelona is included in the Meet Us There trip, and you save €30 to fuel your après fun too.
Introducing: The Grand Andorra Après Ski Weekender
For one weekend, and one weekend only (March 7th – 9th), we’ll be taking our asses closer to the French border to explore Andorra’s largest mountain – Grandvalira. After all, we’ve just about covered every inch of our beloved Pal Arinsal, and a bit of distance always makes the heart grow fonder! It’s the same classic Andorra Ski Weekender we’ve perfected, but with bigger slopes, and bigger parties. Grandvalira boasts a whopping 215kms of skiable area, comprised of 140 runs, freestyle areas, and even night skiing runs. Ideal for large groups that are of varying levels, explore the slopes at your own pace before we reunite at the après of all après.
Our homebase for the weekend – El Pas de la Casa – is infamous through out all of Europe for it’s insane nightlife and après-ski culture (and if we know anything, it’s a good party). We’ll do what we do best by bringing the party wherever we go, including (for the first time ever) our own entertainment line up of international DJs. It’s not a Stoke event without free booze, so we’ll give ya a free hour of beer and sangria each night to warm you up and loosen you up for a night of classic debauchery. Take a look at the nitty gritty details here!
MED TO MOUNTAINS – STUDENT EXCLUSIVE
We’re swapping out the books for city streets and apres-ski beats with Stoke’s first ever student-only Barcelona/Andorra trip, where you’ll get your required dose of powder, sun, and city-slickin’ all in one long-weekend. Exclusive to students, we’ll be starting the fun in the heart of Barcelona then hitting the road up through Catalonia, enroute to the thrill of Andorra’s slopes. This trip is your golden ticket to reset and recharge your study muscle, escape the mundane, and dive headfirst into the kind of fun that makes all those late-night study sessions totally worth it.
We’ll team you up with a bunch of other wide-eyed and bushy-tailed students in downtown Barcelona where you’ll trauma bond with a vent about your study-load over a traditional Catalan Calçotada dinner before hitting the town with your local Stoke guides. After catching some shut-eye at our partner hostel in downtown Barcelona, you’ll hop on a bus and take off for the Pyrenees Mountains. Friday and Saturday are a healthy balance of shredding and stacking it on the slopes, then unwinding with hearty dinners and apres-ski shenanigans. With all the same inclusions as our Andorra ski-weekenders packages, you won’t miss out on a thing – the only difference is that this package is specifically tailored to deliver a good dose of escapism from the pressures of uni and help you connect and let loose with other students.

AN OFTEN OVERLOOKED PYRENEAN TREASURE.
