San Sebastian, our slice of paradise…

This is a guide itinerary with everything in the all inclusive package. The beauty of staying at the Surf camp is that you can do whatever you like, whenever you like, your way.

Wake up to a delicious cooked breakfast whether it be pancakes, bacon and eggs or a ham & cheese omelette.  Head to the beach to wash away the headaches (and mistakes) of the night before. A couple of hours of surfing, (with instructors of course) relaxing, soaking up the sun and playing beach games.

Once we’ve built up enough of an appetite, it’s back to the closest camp to fill up on a tasty lunch prepared by our in-house chef and maybe, just maybe, brave that first icy cold beer of the day.

There are tonnes of different activities in the surrounding region to keep everyone occupied. We can head into San Sebastian to its famous pintxos bars, go on free walking tours, go horse riding, paragliding, on wine tasting tours or simply head to the beach for more surfing, or enjoy the sunshine from our terrace in all its glory.
Finish your afternoon activities with a cider on the hill, watching the sunset and then enjoy a big hearty dinner to line the stomach.

    Day time activities:

    • Surfing
    • Volleyball
    • Skateboarding
    • Exploring the town
    • Swimming
    • Sun baking
    • Fishing
    • Drinking beer
    • & much more

    Night time activities:

    • Party nights in San Sebastian
    • Movie nights
    • Dinners in our favourite restaurants in the area
    • Visiting the many festivals that dot the region in summer.

We’ll either have a simple to-go style lunch in the sunshine down at the beach, or back up to the surf casa for a hot lunch and a cold sangria. If you’re feeling bendy join a yoga class on our yoga deck; maybe you want to head out hiking through the Basque hills that our surf house backs onto; you can choose to go into town and explore, join in on a Spanish Class, head back down to the beach for another surf, or just relax! In the afternoon you will most likely find yourself hanging out at the house watching the sun go down over a few drinks and sharing stories or becoming lord of the ping pong table.

I absolutely loved exploring different surf beaches every day. Wilson was an excellent guide who really enjoyed showing us around. We got proper waves so this was also suitable for advanced surfers. Meals at the house were delicious. Accommodation was a huge room called “Dormland” with a lot of beds – if you know what you are getting yourself into it’s fine. For more comfort you can book one of the smaller rooms. Upon arrival we arrived 1 day too early by mistake and our hosts kindly picked us up in the middle of the night and offered us spontaneous pre-accommodation! The surf house is on a hill and everyone always does everything together so there’s a good vibe and definitely do the eventful night excursions too. San Sebastian is a crazy city with my best night out! I would recommend this tour to young laid back travellers.
