Barcelona to Oktoberfest 2017

Bavaria, Munich, Germany

14th - 18th September | 21st - 25th September | 28th September - 2nd October

Jump on the bus to Stoketoberfest! Includes direct private bus from Barcelona to the Stoke Travel campsite in Munich, 2 nights camping accommodation in pre-erected twin share tents with a sleeping bag and mattress, tasty breakfast and hearty dinner each day, guides from the campsite to the Oktoberfest Beer Halls, wild parties at our Stoke Travel Bar and a once in a lifetime experience with crazy internationals!

You will meet us on Thursday at Plaza Catalunya in front of the Hard Rock Cafe for your Barcelona to Oktoberfest 2017 trip, where we’ll be departing at 7pm. We will jump on the bus and there you will be introduced to your friendly guides, meet your fellow Stokies, and get into the Oktoberfest spirit. The bus is spacious and there’s plenty of room to stretch out and get a solid night’s sleep. We will arrive in Munich around noon on Friday, and once we arrive there is nothing left for you to worry about apart from having a good time as everything is taken care of. There will be a bunch of friendly guides to answer all of your questions and help you out when necessary. Then let the three days of fun commence, with lots of beers, amazing people and great experiences. The bus will depart from the Stoke Travel Oktoberfest campsite on Sunday at noon, and will be arriving in Barcelona around 7am on Monday.

Stoke Travel’s legendary beer-soaked jewel in the crown, we make Oktoberfest our own, our massive festival outside of the world’s biggest public festival takes place at the Stoke Travel All-Inclusive Oktoberfest Campsite. At our Oktoberfest accommodation you’ll find Carnivalesque celebrations, DJs, live bands, live radio shows and an open bar of unlimited beer and sangria for €10 per day, all for the entertaining of up to 2500 international guests nightly.

So come down and make friends with the coolest old Bavarian men on the planet, and us. Party with Stoke and see why people choose to follow Oktoberfest here year after year. We put the Be-Here in beer, the Ale-Mania in Alemania, and the Many-Germs in Germany.

  • Home is where the liver is.
Oktoberfest 2017 is held in the centre of Munich, Germany, at the official Oktoberfest grounds Theresienwiese. This is where you will find the beer halls, fun fair rides and glorious Bavarian food.
The Stoke Travel campsite is ideally located within easy access to the Oktoberfest beer halls. Our group heads into the craziness every day via the cheap and easy public transport, which picks us up directly in front of the campsite. The Stoke Travel guides are there to guide you into the party and point you in the direction of the beautiful Bavarian beer.

  • Questions and queries? Ask away. Enter in the Ask a Question tab and we will try to come up with something helpful here.

    What should we bring?
Something warm to sleep in, pillow and a torch for your tent, condoms (better safe than sorry!), your camera, an awesome party shirt.

Are there shuttles to and from Oktoberfest?
No, but our guides will take you on public transport so you don’t get lost, just don’t stray too far. We find that no matter how many steins one has consumed, miraculously most of our guests come back safe and sound. Munich’s cheap and easy public transport leaves from the festival and takes you back to the campsite all day everyday. But be warned… if you don’t buy a ticket, you can be fined 60€ (that is the equivalent of a whole extra day and night at Stoketoberfest!)

Who do we see when we arrive?
Check in at Stoke Reception for your tent allocation and orientation. The reception is open weekday mornings at 09:00 until midnight and weekends, 08:00 until 01:00. Out of hours, a security guard will check you into a tent and you can register with reception the next day.

    What is the breakfast like?
Breakfast is whatever our inhouse chefs decide on the day… whether it be pancakes and bacon, egg and bacon rolls, bacon and bacon rolls. It usually includes bacon. And if you’re a veggo you can have non-bacon stuff. Our chefs are awesome. Bloody talented is what they are.

How many people can fit in the tents?
We have two-man tents and 8-10 man teepees. If you are a group of three, one of you will be tented with a new friend of the same sex. Just let us know your preferences on arrival and we’ll do our best to allocate you the tent you would like (subject to availability). For those anti-social humans, we offer private tents for a small additional fee. We understand our guests’ needs… a little extra room for a special someone if the night leads there.

What amenities are offered at the camp site?
The campsite offers spacious bathrooms and hot showers for a 1€ token purchased at Guru tent. There’s a restaurant/cafe, vending machines, the best Schnitzel food cart in the world and a little essentials store. WiFi and charging stations are available in certain areas and tokens are sold at the campsite reception for laundry facilities.

Where can we securely store our valuables?
Locks are available for purchase for the tents from Guru Tent and main reception offers small lock boxes you can rent. We also have a giant container for small valuables which gets locked every night.

Where can we buy Lederhosens and Dirndls?
We sell traditional festival costumes as well as awesomely stylish Stoke hoodies, t-shirts, beanies and all sorts of other handy knick-knacks.

If we are camping does that mean we’ll be attacked by wild animals?
We serve unlimited alcohol at our camps. You, my friend, will be the wild animal.

    Where is Starbucks?
Near Haupthbhanof in Zentrum of Munich, there are plenty.

Do the tents have hot water, laptops, power-points, king size beds or fridges?
    They’re tents.

Does the bus come both ways on one side of the road?
    What the F$%# ?
