  • Itinerary

    25th April:
2pm onwards: Start the trip with a beer and get ready to celebrate!
You’ve got the afternoon and night to go out and explore what Amsterdam has to offer…Might we suggest a nice coffee shop, or if you’ve feeling adventurous, the red light district.

    26th April:
Have a slow Morning, but make sure you’ve got a drink in your hand.
10am onwards: We’ll be kick starting the party
6pm: Tonight is King’s Night (most say even bigger than King’s Day!) with a massive party in the streets and main squares of Amsterdam. We will depart camp at 6pm and the party ends around 11pm.
11pm: We’d recommend resting up to prepare yourself for the antics of tomorrow but feel free to keep the party going in town you will always find a bar where the drinks are flowing.

    27th April:
    Today’s the day, King’s Day!
9am: Hot breakfast is served to help nurse the hangover.
10am: We’ll start walking to the ferry where the tour begins. Make sure you are wearing everything orange and you have packed as much booze as you can into your Stoke bag!
11am: The streets start to come alive with massive parties all over the city and canals. Stick to the streets or jump on one of our private canal boat parties with 3 hours of unlimited alcohol and DJ.
Make sure to reserve your spot and add on the boat party when booking!
7pm: The streets begin to wind down but don’t worry the party can keep on going with on the ESN afterparty boat festival with over 600 people!

    28th April:
We should have well and truly excelled ourselves at partying dutch-style and we could possibly be broken.
9am: We’ll struggle our way through goodbyes over breakfast, but not before we’ve swapped Facebooks and photos and planned our next trip with Stoke Travel! If you have full day here still, we can organise optional tours to see the tulips, Bols Museum or the wind mills.

  • FAQs:

    What should we bring?
Every orange piece of clothing you own, a snoop dogg attitude, an appetite for cheese & mustard, something warm to sleep in, a poncho or umbrella, shnacks and a disposable camera.

    What is the breakfast like?
Our chefs are pretty bloody talented, our normal breakfast includes some eggy-bacon goodness or pancakes with salted caramel and bacon bits: if you are vegetarian or vegan never fear we will look after you.

    When can I check in?
Check in starts at 2 pm, but look out for our Stokies: If you do come earlier just email info@stoketravel.com and we can arrange something for you.

    What actually is King’s day?
It is a national holiday where all the Dutchies get drunk together to celebrate their King’s birthday. The King travels to a new city each year and plays games with everyone. This is so they can ultimately celebrate the dutchgoodness that we all love.
Every square in the town has big djs, bars and turns into a big fat dance party. There is also HUGE flea markets.

    What do I wear?
Think like an orange, be an orange, definitely wear orange!

What’s the weather going to be like?
When in Holland always prepare for the worst and hope for the best!
