The Maker Or Breaker 2017

Ibiza | Barcelona City Break | Oktoberfest

7th - 18th September

The Maker Or Breaker 2017

This is the festival road trip that separates the partiers from the pretenders. We start in Ibiza, Europe’s infamous party island and home to back-to-back hedonism-soaked all nighters. Spend your days on the beach and your nights in the bars and clubs, getting yourself ready for Barcelona, where we’ll still spend our days on the beach and our nights in the clubs, but with added culture, tapas, and sightseeing. Once you think you can’t possibly have any more fun we load onto the bus and head to Munich, the site of Oktoberfest, and the final stop of this road trip. Here we’ll demolish one-litre mugs of delicious German beer, dance on tables and generally have the time of our lives. Did you survive the trip? Did it make you, or break you? Now go and have a rest — you’ve earned it.

Meet us our Stoke Ibiza Beach Camp and join us for a swim at the beach, or chill out in the shade. We’re located on a perfect cove, next to a hippie market, and the days are for relaxing and living life the way it’s supposed to be lived. That night go to whichever club tickles your fancy – the Stoke Travel Ibiza crew know all the best nights and can help you get discounted tickets.

    Friday 8th September: Ibiza
The next few days will be filled with snorkelling, cliff jumping, beach games, visits to the hippie markets, sight seeing, swimming, people watching, and, of course, partying. Your time in Ibiza should be a beautiful combination of ticking things off your bucket list, doing things you never knew possible, and going with the flow. On this Mediterranean paradise anything goes, if you let it…

    Saturday 9th September: Ibiza
Beach, sleep, rave, repeat… maybe a Sunday session? And by “maybe” we mean “definitely”.

Sunday 10th September: Ibiza → Barcelona
Today we’ll catch the overnight ferry to Barcelona and allow you a chance to rest up before the legendary Barcelona nightlife. If this boat’s a rockin’ make sure you come a-knockin’. For those of us with insatiable party appetites we’ll sneak some wine on board, have a real swell time on the Mediterranean. We’ll catch some rest, maybe more than we have been, because while we’ll try our hardest it’s a lot more difficult to rage on the ferry than it was in Ibiza.

    Monday 11th September: Barcelona
Check in to your central Barcelona hostel and meet the Stokies. Explore the city, hit the beach, bask in the nakedness, eat the tapas and drink the sangria before exploring Barcelona’s nightlife – we’ll provide free entry to the Mediterranean city’s famous beach clubs.

    Tuesday 12th September: Barcelona
Recovery mode with a hearty hostel breakfast, before discovering Barcelona on foot with a walking tour. See the sights and learn the secrets of this ancient city. Eat. Drink. Love life. That afternoon set sail on one of Stoke’s flagship boat parties. Rage on the Mediterranean while we cruise along Barcelona’s coastline. The unlimited drinks on board will properly prepare you for another party night.

    Wednesday 13th September: Barcelona
Why stop now? Spend the day seeing the sights not included on your walking tour. Visit some of our favourite bars. Sit on terraces in the sun drinking world-class Spanish wines. Head up to the Bunkers with your Stokie best friends to watch the sunset with uninterrupted 360˚ views of the greater Barcelona area, from the Mediterranean to the Pyrenees. Come and party again, we’ve got the hook-ups so you’d be crazy not to.

Thursday 14th September: Barcelona → Oktoberfest
You’re hungover but you drag yourself out of bed. It’s time to make your way to the bus, the bus that will take you to Oktoberfest. Strap yourself in for an overnight journey across Europe, that’ll be full of snacks and jokes, naps and beers. Get to know your bus mates, because you’re going to be dominating the beer halls together…

    Friday 15th September: Oktoberfest
The Stoketoberfest camp is like nothing you’ve ever seen before — open bar, bands, dancefloor, djs, and hundreds of new best friends. We arrive around midday, so this is the time to get fitted into your lederhosen and/or dirndl, to find your place at the bar, to explore the campsite and also your inhibitions. Dinner at the camp is always amazing, and the party goes into the night. Don’t over do it, tomorrow is a big one.

    Saturday 16th September: Oktoberfest
It’s an early start today, because we have to get seats
Wake up early to get breakfast and hop on the city bus to Oktoberfest. Where the Carnival is the greatest, but the beer halls are even greater. If you don’t want to eat at Oktoberfest, Dinner at the campsite is at 8 every night, and when the campsite party begins; the beer and sangria will be flowing and the music will start pumping.

    Sunday 17th September:Oktoberfest → Barcelona
The bus leaves at noon, so you will have plenty of time to eat your breakfast and maybe even sneak a few beers in before you head back to the beautiful Barcelona.

    Monday 18th September: Barcelona
We’ll arrive early back into Barcelona, just in time to take a shower and go to “reality”. Or if you prefer, go home and sleep it off.

  • Cala Martina, Ibiza

Cala Martina is an amazing beach with excellent watersport facilities and is popular among the “young hippie crowd”. It is the perfect location for windsurfers, beginners as well as advanced surfers.

    Brilliant Barcelona.

The home of Gaudi, Dali, the 1992 Olympics, FCB and the French Bulldog.

It’s a tourist Mecca. Thousands upon millions upon billions of sun-seeking, fun-loving revellers flock here every year and there’s a bloody good reason for it. It’s because Barcelona is awesome. It has a bit of everything, but still retains a small city vibe. The nightlife is nothing less than hectic and intense, the day life is a myriad of colours, sites, sounds, smells, street performers and sangria.

It’s a place you’ve just gotta see. And we’re pretty much experts… if we do say so ourselves… so we’ll show you Barcelona from the Stoke point of view.

Home is where the liver is.

Oktoberfest 2017 is held in the centre of Munich, Germany, at the official Oktoberfest grounds Theresienwiese. This is where you will find the beer halls, fun fair rides and glorious Bavarian food.
The Stoke Travel campsite is ideally located within easy access to the Oktoberfest beer halls. Our group heads into the craziness every day via the cheap and easy public transport, which picks us up directly in front of the campsite. The Stoke Travel guides are there to direct you into the party and point you in the direction of the beautiful Bavarian beer.

  • Come fly to us…

Just about every airline in Europe flies to Ibiza, so it’s not hard to get a cheap flight. Check out a flight comparison website like Skyscanner, or Kayak, for the best deals.
Once you get to Ibiza airport take the bus in front of the airport, L24, and get out at the bus stop Es Canar right at the doorstep of our campsite.
    Duration: 40 mins
    Cost: €3.50
If you arrive outside of these times, you can take a taxi which will set you back around €30

    Boat it over…

Book your ferry through Trasmediterranea or Balearia . Ferries leave from Barcelona and Valencia.

    Campsite Address:

    Avenida Punta Arabi s/n,
    Playa Cala Martina,
    07849 Es canar , Ibiza

  • What is the breakfast like?

Breakfast is bacony and eggy and delicious. Sometimes there’a pancake or two thrown in for good measure. Our chefs are pretty fricking good at food.

    What should I bring?
Sunscreen, beachwear, a towel, something awesome to party in, condoms, a camera, condoms (better safe than sorry!), a torch to see the inside of your tent, a pillow.

It said on the website that it is a twin tent. Can it fit two people?
Yes, the twin tents are two-man tents. We have two-man tents, so if you are in a group of three, one of you will be tented with a new friend of the same sex. Tents are allocated on arrival, so just let us know your preferences when you arrive. We also have an option to have a private tent for a small additional fee – just in case you don’t want to share…. or if you want to leave space for the hottie you’re going to meet at our campsite… You never know…

Are there lockers where we can put our passports or other important items?
The campsite itself has no lockers, but we a campervan which gets locked every night and we can put small valuables in there during the festival and when we’re away from the campsite.

If we are camping does that mean we’ll be attacked by wild animals?
We serve unlimited alcohol at our camps. You, my friend, will be the wild animal.

Are these questions really the most frequently asked?
No, but if you have any specific questions you must email – the guys in the office know absolutely everything about anything.

Where can we buy Lederhosens and Dirndls?
We sell traditional festival costumes as well as awesomely stylish Stoke hoodies, tee- shirts, beanies and all sorts of other handy knick-knacks.
