The rumours are true, Dune Rats will be hanging out at Stoked in the Park, Pamplona, filming for their web series, probably floating down the river in inflatables, and treating us to some tunes. They’ll be joined by the winner of the Stoke Soundcheck, plus other bands and DJs to be announced. Excited? We sure are.
In 2018, ART VS SCIENCE headlined Stoked in the Park, Stoke Travel’s festival within Pamplona’s infamous San Fermin/Running of the Bulls, so expect big things for 2019’s lineup. Stoked in the Park is all about the party, about live music and new connections, about pool parties and local and international food and wine. Stoked in the Park is set on a big, beautiful, grassy and shaded campsite outside of Pamplona, where we’ve created a magical playground for you to day party while getting ready for the madness in town, to keep the fiesta going when you return from the bull run, or for you to spend the whole day and night taking advantage of the awesome installations we’ve created, and the gorgeous crowd we attract.
Stoked in the Park is for travellers who want more from Pamplona’s San Fermines than running with bulls and partying with people from their own country. Stoked in the Park focuses on the amazing fiesta that surrounds the bull run, making the most of a city that swells with millions of visitors who flood Pamplona to party, and not necessarily fun with the bulls. Stoked in the Park is focused on the fun of the fiesta, the culture, the nine days of sangria soaked hedonism. Stoked in the Park is about music and dancing, about meeting new and interesting people from around the world and partying with them.
What is Stoked in the Park?
Stoked in the Park is our way to make the most out of your time in Pamplona. We have created a creative, exciting space where musicians (Art Vs Science, Kiwi Pips, Honey Hayze, Mesmeriser and Hiaground in 2018, 2019 to be announced) will play concerts into the early hours of the morning. Stoked in the Park is where you can rage before or after going into Pamplona town for the festivities there, while also being a place where you can chill out, play sport, eat good food and get some rest. We’ll be live streaming the world cup on a big screen, hosting sporting tournaments and inviting teams from anywhere to taste the thrill of tag rugby, and get active and dazzle the opposition. Stoked in the Park is an accommodation option for travellers interested in Pamplona, the fiestas of San Fermin, and the Running of the Bulls, but more than that it’s an intersection of music, art, culture, sport, food and unrestrained good times all located on the outskirts of one of the world’s greatest street parties.
Why Stoked in the Park?
Because after more than a decade of participating in San Fermines we’ve noticed that there is so much more to the fiesta than the bull run, and that many young locals and travellers aren’t interested in participating. Pamplona is one of Spain’s greatest cities and its famous fiesta is one of its main draw cards, but the focus on the bullrun has taken away from the other wonderful aspects of the party, the city and the region. For the young people of Pamplona the fiesta is all about the street party, the all-night rager that goes on every day; for the older locals, it’s the day’s cultural and traditional events that are important. Stoked in the Park is for travellers who want to experience this side of Sanfermines. Of course we will continue to cater for the bull runners, but we will also bring in travellers interested in the place, the party, in discovering new cultures and traditions — while having a whale of a time doing so. Stoked in the Park is a new way to discover Pamplona and to enjoy Sanfermines.
Where is Stoked in the Park?
We are set up in El Molino campsite, in the hills outside of the city. This is beautiful country, the rolling hills of Navarra, and a delicious taste of the real Spain, outside of the hyper-touristed centre of town. Being located out here gives us plenty of space to put on sporting events and live musical acts. Our space has a river running through it, plenty of trees for shade, large grassy chill-out areas, swimming pools for pool parties, or just for taking a dip, multiple bars and also a space for local produce vendors.
