‘Amuuuurrican? Want somewhere you can watch the game the way it should be – beer, big TV screens and bar food? There ain’t no other way to do it than the Stoke Travel way. Come down to the George Payne Irish Bar with us to watch the face off at the 53rd annual Super Bowl! We’ve got your viewing needs absolutely covered with an open beer bar for 1 and a half hours before the game, nine big screens so you don’t miss a second of the action and drink deals all night long! And ladies and gents, we are staying up for the WHOLE GAME- after half-time it will be a lock-in at the George Payne, as in anyone who decides to stay cannot leave until the game is over in the wee hours of the morning!

It’s going to be an evening of endless entertainment. The Superbowl is about so much more than football after all, like amusing ads, celebrity appearances and of course the legendary half-time show! Justin Timberlake rocked the show and will be a tough act to follow.

And of course there’s the game itself, who will come out on top?

Who’s ready for a night of fun and football?’

  • Meeting Point

The George Payne Irish Bar, Plaza Urquinaona, Barcelona

    Brilliant Barcelona.

The home of Gaudi, Dali, the 1992 Olympics, FCB and the French Bulldog.

It’s a tourist Mecca. Thousands upon millions upon billions of sun-seeking, fun-loving revellers flock here every year and there’s a bloody good reason for it. It’s because Barcelona is awesome. It has a bit of everything, but still retains a small city vibe. The nightlife is nothing less than hectic and intense, the day life is a myriad of colours, sites, sounds, smells, street performers and sangria.

It’s a place you’ve just gotta see. And we’re pretty much experts… if we do say so ourselves… so we’ll show you Barcelona from the Stoke point of view.

We stay in an area of Barcelona called Poblenou, just minutes from the beach, surrounded with cool bars and restaurants, and easy access to transport links

  • Take the metro to Urquinaona and you should see the George Payne Irish Bar!

Wherever you are in the world you can fly to Barcelona. Ryanair and Easyjet are budget favourites that fly to Barcelona regularly. One thing to remember is that Girona Airport which is sometimes the cheapest option is an hour by bus from downtown Barcelona.

A great option if you’re coming to Barcelona from elsewhere in Spain, or from France. Check out Renfe for trains from within Spain and snfc for those departing within France.

Check Eurolines for international buses to Barcelona, or Vibasa for buses from within Spain.

  • Questions about the event or life in general? Enter away in the Ask a Question Tab and we’ll answer them here…
